The Path Forward applauds the recent report by the National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA), which details the findings of a study that reviewed the current state of behavioral health network adequacy standards and metrics and also included an environmental scan and stakeholder interviews.

Funded by the Sozosei Foundation, this report presents the NCQA’s findings and highlights models that have successfully improved access to care. These models have the potential to influence the future design of behavioral health networks and adequacy standards. The report also includes recommendations to improve the measurement and accountability of these standards.
