The Path Forward is a 501(c)(3) effort supported by donations from philanthropy.

A Memorandum of Understanding governs our coalition among our three voting members:
Community Coalitions Health Institute (“CCHI”), which is the 501(c)3 arm of the National Alliance for Purchasing Coalitions, American Psychiatric Association Foundation, and Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. Each of these entities is exempt from federal income tax as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), has been classified by the Internal Revenue Services as a public charity described in section 509(a)(1), (2), or (3) of the Code. A steering committee oversees operations, operating in a spirit of collaboration, ongoing communication, and trust.
